Folks in Tacoma’s North End have been eagerly awaiting news regarding the recent construction at Westgate North Shopping Center. A building that formerly housed Round Table Pizza was recently demolished, and two new buildings are currently going up between 26th and North Pearl.

We asked REALTOR® Alyssa Reische to fill us in on the project, particularly regarding which new businesses we can expect to see.

“New tenants will include CHI Franciscan Medical Clinic, Habit Burger, and Q’doba, with room for an additional restaurant,” Alyssa said.

According to a permit submitted to the city last year, the cost of construction for these new buildings is around $2.7 million. “Plans for this shopping center also include a patio and plaza area,” Alyssa explained.

One thing is for sure: this will be a welcome addition to the North End neighborhood!
