The Proctor Farmers’ Market provides an avenue for local farmers and artists to showcase and sell their goods,” shares REALTOR® Stacey Gendreau. “The market gives the community access to healthy fresh produce, meats, fish, cheese, honey, vegetable starts for their own gardens, and most Saturdays, you can hear great local musicians playing. ...Stop in, talk with the local farmers, pick up lunch, and then some fresh food for dinner!”

Located at N. 27th & Proctor Street in Tacoma, the Proctor Farmers’ Market is a popular weekend activity for those in the area. This year, locals can enjoy the market from March 24th through December 15th, 2018 each Saturday from 9am to 2pm.

“If you get to the market hungry, don't worry—there are always several vendors serving up a nice hot breakfast or a late lunch,” shares Stacey. “I am [especially] a fan of the fresh picked mushrooms and fiddleheads from Adam’s Mushrooms.” Grown on the Key Peninsula, these local fungi offer a unique addition to a home-cooked dinner!

Another one of Stacey’s favorites is a local kombucha maker: “I love grabbing a fresh bottle of Kombucha from Rainbow Cloud Kombucha.” Handmade and 100% raw, these tasty brews are fermented in American White Oak wine barrels. It’s delicious… and healthy!
