Next door to the main shop is a 3-story Christmas shop that’s open year-round as well!

“I love the friendly people here, and I can find a gift for almost anyone,” shares Joyce Shipley. “I buy cards and gifts here; they have a great selection. They also have a wonderful line of moderately priced ladies clothing. Tribal is a favorite!”

Sample Sale: Major Discounts on Clothing, Homeware, & More

“I have been a customer at Sample Sale for over 25 years now,” shares Michael McNiel. “They see the samples that are presented to store's buyers. They mainly have clothing, ski clothing, and also some household and decor. Most of the clothes are one-offs so you don't see everybody else wearing it and it's discounted from retail.”

The Harbor General Store: “Groceries, Deli, Coffee & Gifts”
Located at 7804 Pioneer Way Gig Harbor, WA 98335

Harbor General Store in Downtown Gig Harbor has amazing sandwiches and coffee,” recommends Julie Hammon. “You can also get treats, grab and go meals, and different sides. And did I mention their wine selection! They have an in-house chef who makes everything. They have great small gifts that are perfect if you need a gift on the go. They also have groceries (which the downtown area desperately needed!), which is super convenient for tourists, boating, and for anyone hanging out downtown!”

Not only is The Harbor General Store a great and convenient shop to drop by, but they’re also an important part of the community. “At Thanksgiving, the owner Stephanie Sagle put out meals for anyone who needed one. They give back to the community in many different ways,” shares Julie. “They also have many different classes the community can come and participate in. Dundon Motorsports: “The Pinnacle of Porsche Performance”

“Finding someone who specialized in Porsche’s brand-specific expertise used to require a trip up north to the eastside or Seattle,” says Michael Robinson. “Dundon Motorsports is a welcome addition to the area! Also, they are real ‘car guys’ and don't mind if you stop in just to see what they're working on.”

“One of my favorite shops is Dolly Momma Boutique. It’s on the way into downtown Gig Harbor on Pioneer Way, and they have clothing, gifts, jewelry, home decor, and furniture,” Julie Hammon shares. “They carry a lot of the same clothing lines as Nordstrom. Inventory is always changing, so it's always fun to see what's new. It's nice to not have to cross the bridge to do some clothing and gift shopping.They also just opened a second store in the heart of downtown Gig Harbor. It's a lot smaller, so they only have gifts and clothing.”

“This is the place to go for accessories or gifts. They have every color in scarves, jewelry, purses, gifts and more. It’s easy to find something for every budget, they have great salespeople, and it’s fun to just wander through,” shares Joyce Shipley.

Natasha Rawls agrees: “My go-to retail shop for cute gifts is Tickled Pink in Downtown Gig Harbor. They have the cutest scarves, cards, candles, and so many other unique and fun gifts. Also, they always have some sort of sale going on. For instance, right now they have a 50% off sale on all Vera Bradley products (purses, wallets, etc.. ) and buy one get one free on scarves!”

Wilco Farm Store: Your Go-To Shop for All Things Outdoors

Krista Osborne is a huge fan of Wilco in Gig Harbor, and if you love spending time outside, this is your go-to shop! If you’re a gardener, you’re definitely in luck: “Wilco Farm Store has the most glorious hanging baskets and garden area in the spring through the summer and fall; it’s a great place to get bare root vegetables, tubers, annuals, perennials and more,” recommends Krista.

Raising chickens or other farm animals? They’ve also got you covered! “Their selection of food and grooming supplies for horses, chickens and so many other critters is amazing,” Krista elaborates. “Just the wonderful smells of leather, feed, and plants when you walk in the door is amazing. AND, when it is the season for new baby chickies, well, need I say more—there are peeping little fuzzy wonders everywhere, and if the moment is right, you can bring them home to join your family!”

“They also carry several great lines of high quality outdoor clothing, shoes, boots, cowboy boots (very pretty and rustic ones).
