Tips on Where to Buy Ski Gear & Play in the Snow

February 1, 2017

Do your little ones have cabin fever this time of year? We were recently chatting with REALTOR® Amy Steele about where to take kids to burn off some energy, and she told us about a fun weekend she had with her family recently:

“One of the best ways to entertain kids on a winter weekend is to get them out of the house and into the snow,” shared Amy.

“Lately, we have gotten outfitted with cross country ski equipment from the lovely folks at Playback Sports in Proctor,” recommends Amy. “[It’s] the greatest place ever to gear up for a new adventure!”

Playback Sports offers a huge selection of both new and used gear for a variety of sports, including gear for camping, hiking, golfing, hunting, fishing, tennis, baseball, volleyball, martial arts, wrestling, basketball, soccer, and much more! Check out Playback Sports’ selection here.

After gearing up, Amy’s family headed to Cabin Creek for some sunshine and skiing: “This sport is forgiving and easy to pick up, [and] from our youngest to our oldest, the kids are excited to be out in the crisp air playing in the snow. It seems a shame to live in one of the most beautiful locations in the country and not really be in touch with it. On this particular Sunday, we came across the most interesting trail buddy. Meeting a cat on the trail was a first; he was as curious about us as we were about him.”

Want to head out to play in the snow? Amy recommends visiting snowrec.com for updates on weather, trail conditions, and more information on how to enjoy a day in the snow.

“If you see our friend the snow cat, make sure you stop to say hello!” adds Amy.
