Lunch doesn’t have to be boring or expensive, thanks to the excellent selection of restaurants in Downtown Puyallup. With an array of yummy food options and unique daily specials, you can’t go wrong grabbing some grub in this area!

Here’s a look at the 5 best spots for lunch in downtown Puyallup (as recommended by us) + some tips on how to get the best deals:

Bumpy’s

Located at 116 E. Main Ave. Puyallup, WA 98372
Hours: 6:00am-2:00am 7 days a week

For good food and great deals, both Trish Stone and Patti Connolly agree that no place beats Bumpy’s. “Bumpy's is the staple of Puyallup with daily specials,” says Patti. “[Like] 2 tacos for $2 Tuesdays!” With tacos, pizza, dogs, sandwiches, and much more to choose from, this spot has everything you need for a lunch that is sure to satisfy.

Tip: Be sure to stop by on Sundays, where any pizza is as low as $5.00!

The Loose Wheel Bar and Grill

Located at 715 River Rd. Puyallup, WA 98371
Hours: 8:00am-2:00am 7 days a week

Another spot for great deals that sports fans will love is the Loose Wheel Bar and Grill: “...The Loose Wheel right off River Road [has] 50 cent Wing Wednesday, and more delicious specials throughout the week!” shares Patti. Ice-cold draft beer selections, pool tables, karaoke, and 42 HDTVs guarantee that you’ll definitely be back more than once!

Tip: Keep an eye out right here for daily specials, including Taco Thursdays ($0.99 tacos all day).

Sparks Firehouse Deli

Located at 621 5th St. S.W. Puyallup, WA 98371
Hours: 10:30am-8:00pm Tuesday-Thursday; 10:30am-10:00pm Friday-Saturday; 10:30am-7:00pm Sunday; closed Monday (for the winter)

If you’re looking for a spot for a laid-back lunch with friends, Sparks Firehouse Deli is this place. “Sparks Firehouse Deli deli has amazing pizza, sandwiches, basically you can't go wrong with anything,” shares Trish.

Jim Swanson agrees, noting “Sparks Firehouse Deli is a great lunch spot. They open a garage door in the summer and it becomes a great open air restaurant. The food is great and it’s easy to relax while you’re there. Oh and you can actually carry on conversations there too. Charlie’s Restaurant & Lounge

Whether you need a place to take the kids or want to grab a bite before heading back to work, Charlie’s has you covered. They have a wide selection of delicious apps, burgers, specialties, and more, including a salad bar and kids menu. That’s not all, according to Trish: “Charlie’s, right across the street from Bumpy’s, has good drinks to wash your lunch down with.” With something for everyone and an atmosphere to match, you won’t want to pass this spot up!

HG Bistro

If you want to mix things up, check out another one of Trish’s picks, HG Bistro. “HG Bistro has a fresh and unique new age spin on American cuisine that's a nice change of pace from your average lunch menu,” she shares. Elevated yet comforting dishes and a friendly atmosphere make this spot a game-changer when it comes to going out for lunch.
