The Nisqually Wildlife Refuge
“If you enjoy walking through the peace and quiet or you like to view wildlife in their natural habitat, come check out the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge!” says REALTOR® Clark Osvog. Nestled just on the edge of Lacey, the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is a fascinating place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to just enjoy nature in its purest form.
The expansive, 762-acre estuary features 5 miles of walking trails that can be enjoyed by visitors. Throughout the year and depending on the season, a wide variety of birds can be observed: bald eagles, falcons, merlins, American kestrels, geese, songbirds, and more all call the refuge “home.”
In addition to observing, visitors can also participate in a variety of programs and activities, like guided bird walks and kids activities! Explore their offerings here.
