A Message Regarding COVID-19

Last updated May 22, 2020

As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve, we want to provide our community with helpful updates as to what you can expect from us in the coming weeks.

Our top priority is safety. Although we are still finding our "new normal" in this rapidly changing environment, we are confident we have the resources and technology to continue to do our jobs AND maintain the safety of our brokers, clients and community.

Here are a few things we’d like you to know:

  • Our brokers are open for business. You can still visit our offices in Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and Puyallup. To protect our staff, we would ask that you refrain from coming in person if you are experiencing any signs of illness including the symptoms related to COVID-19.
  • Our REALTORS® are already well equipped to serve clients remotely, whether this means a video call to answer questions, hosting a virtual open house, touring homes via Facetime, securely e-signing documents, or coordinating remote closings.
  • For showings and essential in-person meetings, our brokers may ask if you have recently traveled or experienced any symptoms. Visitors to Open Houses may also be asked to complete a questionnaire. We know that social distancing is critical to slowing the spread of the virus. Please don’t be offended if we don’t shake hands or choose to maintain the distance recommended by the CDC.
  • You may be wondering if this is still a good time to buy or sell, and the answer to that is different for each person. What we can say with certainty is we are committed to bringing current facts and statistics to our conversations, and answering your questions as best we can. Real estate is a cyclical business, and although the current economic shifts may be unsettling, we have weathered these cycles before. At this moment, record low interest rates and inventory are creating continued demand for homes.

Again, we want you to know that safety is our highest priority, and we are dedicated to supporting our buyer and seller clients through this unprecedented time. As always, we will be looking for ways to step up and help our community, and you can expect to hear more about that in the coming weeks.
