This year, our 4 offices worked together to collect food to donate to the Families Unlimited Network Food Bank in University Place and the Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH Food Bank. We were able to collect over 7,300 items (a total of 2884.5 lbs. of food!) for Thanksgiving meals for members of our community in need.

Our brokers and their clients worked together to make it all possible: Brokers would deliver bags to their clients and friends’ homes, asking for donations. People were asked to make donations of Thanksgiving items, including turkey or ham, canned fruits and veggies, stuffing mix, canned soup, boxed or bagged potatoes, butter/margarine, microwave popcorn, hot cocoa mix, jello packaged, powdered milk, toiletries, and more! A week later, they spent the day driving to each of their clients’ homes to pick up the food donations.

It is amazing what a full belly can do for the comfort and well being of a person that has food insecurities,” shared Angi Unger, the Food Bank Manager at Families Unlimited Network. “Seeing the smiling face of a child when you hand them a bag with Go-Gurt and breakfast cereal makes all of the hard work pay off each and every time. We are currently able to hand out ‘Holiday Bags’ along with the regular food choices we offer our clients due to the generosity of you and your clients!”

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to helping families in our community!
