Working collaboratively is important to REALTOR® Teri Barry, and she loves teaming up with her clients to combine their skills. Teri views each transaction as a project, and she strives to utilize the best and strongest expertise available to give each project a strategic advantage.
Teri’s clients will also benefit from the fact that she has experience working as a broker in one of the most competitive real estate markets in the country, and she’s learned a few tricks for how to best compete along the way! Previously, Teri worked in finance for 20 years—first at Smith Barney Harris Upham, and then at Washington Mutual. She rose quickly on the corporate ladder, primarily because of her creativity and ability to think strategically.
That same innovative thinking has served Teri well in her past real estate experience—in fact, she has bought 3 homes, 2 of which she remodeled and sold within 2 days of putting them on the market! Teri has also built 2 tiny homes, doing much of the work herself but hiring contractors when necessary. She appreciates a well-thought-out and useful flow in a home, and thanks to her first-hand experience, Teri can help a buyer see beyond an ill-placed wall, and she can help sellers work to properly prepare their home for market.
Currently, Teri lives in Olalla, and she loves to explore, spend time outside, and enjoy great art. She enjoys volunteering for the Gig Harbor Film Festival, and in addition to attending 3 film festivals, she owns about 700 movies! She also loves adventures—hiking is a favorite activity, and she’ll walk just about anywhere. Teri has also caught the travel bug—she’s skied in Austria, ridden elephants in Thailand, floated on a bamboo raft down a small river in northern Thailand, and rode a camel into the desert in Morocco. Seeing and learning about new cultures is a definite passion!
Teri’s love for gardening also takes up much of her free time—she likes to design and work on her ever-changing garden, and currently, she’s learning about sustainable gardening techniques and is pursuing a master gardener certification.
Q: What can clients expect when working with you? How do you typically communicate with them?
A: This was a review from a client, and I think it reflects my communication style: "Teri is an absolute professional. We have always felt well-represented by her, knowing that she had our interests first and foremost in her mind. Her knowledge of the real estate market is excellent and she seems to have an uncanny ability to anticipate our questions. She make the buying process so smooth and worry free."
Q: Why are you excited to join Windermere Professional Partners?
A: The people! The support! The team work! The competitive advantage that all of those things provide.
