REALTOR® Sheryll Tan’s interest in real estate has been fueled with her involvement in the process of buying and selling of her own homes. Prior to staying at home with her children, she worked for her family, who owns a chain of restaurants in her native country. Now, as both a buyer and seller’s agent, she understands the position her clients are in. She knows that clients value transparency so she highly regards their trust and shares them her knowledge in real estate to help them make informed decisions.
Sheryll is passionate about helping clients find “the one” home for them and achieves this with her attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong work ethic. She enjoys house-hunting, getting to know her clients, and building relationships with them along the way but her favorite moment is when her clients finally find their match- either the house that perfectly suits their needs or the right buyer for the house they are selling. Sheryll negotiates hard for her clients to reach their desired price. Her eye for interior design also helps showcase their house and make it competitive in the market. Likewise, she draws upon her marketing expertise to sell their home with her bachelor’s degree in marketing management.
As a resident of Gig Harbor since 2009, Sheryll enjoys playing tennis, walking the family dog in her neighborhood, and spending time with her husband and children. Although she and her family love to travel, she does not mind staycations because she thinks it is already gorgeous where they are! Sheryll has lived in big cities in four different states before moving to the Pacific Northwest but says the scenery and charming community here has captured her family’s heart. Sheryll volunteers a good amount of her time in St. Charles Borromeo in Tacoma, where all her three kids attend school. She is proud of where she lives and could not be more grateful for it and wants to impart this to clients looking into moving in the area.
Q: What can clients expect when working with you? How do you typically communicate with them?
A: Home buying and selling is one of the biggest decisions we make in our lives and I believe it is a life- changing event. And so it follows that choosing a realtor you can trust to communicate all your needs is very important. I listen intently to all those concerns to make sure we are on the same page throughout the process, whether you prefer to communicate via email, text messaging, over the phone or in-person. An open communication is vital between you and me, as well as your lender and escrow to achieve a smooth transaction. We are in this together and we are going to make this a pleasant experience for you.
