Boathouse 19 comes highly recommended by both Cyrus Bonnet and Sheryll Tan, and Sheryl has some great tips for dining there! “Boathouse 19 has always been a favorite for my family when we are in the West Slope area,” she shares. “The view of the Narrows Bridge is awesome, especially in the summer when you choose to do outdoor seating. [The] food is delicious, and our favorites would be the salmon corn chowder, Po' Boy Oyster sandwich, and chicken with mushroom gravy. We have enjoyed most of their salads—specifically the calamari salad, grilled pear salad, and weeds salad. Seafood is fresh, and overall their food is tasty! Oh and don't forget to try their salted caramel shake, I'd consider this as a drink and a dessert rolled in one! Yummy!”
Marisa Merritt agrees, noting that her favorite waterfront spot in the West Slope neighborhood is “Boathouse 19 hands down! There's no better experience than arriving to dinner by boat. Plenty of space to tie up and even with dock hands to help you! [Enjoy] outdoor deck or indoor seating with a water view.” Her tip? “Hit up the local Narrows Brewing right next door while you wait for your table.”

If you want to taste the best of the Pacific Northwest, Erin Farquhar recommends Steamers: “Steamers next to Titlow… sits directly above the water next to the public pier and beach,” she says. It “has great chowder and [is a] great place to refuel after a day of play at the park.”
The award-winning chowder and craft microbrews aren’t the only fun things about this restaurant: “Another unique highlight is that the train tracks run directly behind the restaurant,” Erin shares. “When my boys were young they loved to watch and count the train cars as they zoomed by.”

“The Beach Tavern isn't ON the water, but it's a hidden gem just across the railroad tracks from the water (and Steamers),” Piper Troxler shares. “I would describe it as a small, lively sports bar with a welcoming, fun vibe. It's the perfect place to meet your friends to watch the game (any game), and enjoy some appetizers or food—paired with your favorite drinks or beer—while you're watching. The food they serve is best described as bar food, but it's REALLY good (for example their French fries are hand cut and each order is cooked fresh and seasoned perfectly). If greasy bar food just isn't your thing, you're not completely out of luck. They offer a huge selection of fresh made sandwiches which you can choose from as well. (I think they offer something like 14 different sandwiches. The list is huge!) So, to sum it up: good food, fun people, great atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit!”
