Every year, Pierce County celebrates its rich culture and history with the Daffodil Festival. The festival includes a long list of events, including an amazing parade (click here for tips on where to watch the parade next year!), the Junior Daffodil Parade, and of course… the much-anticipated Daffodil Marine Parade put on by the Tacoma Yacht Club!

This exciting event gives locals the opportunity to “Enjoy the sight of dozens of decorated boats parading down the Tacoma waterfront,” says REALTOR® Diane Thomas. It’s an especially fun time for those who love maritime culture and history, but there is something for everyone here!

This year, the parade features 188 individual boat registrations, and the parade is so popular that there’s a waitlist to participate. People go all out for this 65-year-old tradition, and people deck their boats out in daffodils and other colorful decorations!

“Come Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 from 11:30am-1:30pm and view from most points along Ruston Way!” Thanks for the tips, Diane!
